April 22, 2015 - TFH Publications, Inc./Nylabone Products, of Neptune, NJ is recalling one lot of its 1.69 oz. package of the Puppy Starter Kit dog chews, because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. Salmonella can affect animals ingesting the product and there is risk to humans from handling contaminated products, especially if they have not thoroughly washed their hands after having contact with the products or any surfaces exposed to these products.

Lifeline Animal Project is running a special program Spay Neuter Impact Project to offer free spay/neuter services for DeKalb County pet owners. If you are a resident of DeKalb County and can not afford even reduced cost spay/neuter, you can apply to have your cat or medium-large dog fixed by filling out the application available on DeKalb County Animal Services website.

$20 Cat Spay Neuter in Canton and Ball Ground, GA

Georgia Animal Project is running a $20 cat spay/neuter special for residents of Canton (zip 30114) and Ball Ground (30107). Proof of residency is required.

The Georgia Animal Project is located at 310 Gilmer Ferry Rd, Suite B, Ball Ground, GA.
Rabies vaccines are included at no additional charge and will be given unless you provide proof your animal is current.

Paradox Spay Neuter's Fix-a-Bull Program offers 12 free spays/neuters per month for Pit Bulls owned by residents of Walton, Rockdale and Newton Counties. 

This program is for privately owned pets only, not applicable for animals in foster or temporary care. Slots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
